Duoraa

Terms of Service

Last updated 27 October 2026

The agreement between you and Duoraa: who can use it, what plans include, what you may watch and upload, and what happens if something goes wrong.

1. Who we are and who can use Duoraa

Duoraa (“we”, “us”) is operated by SENTHILKUMAR BALAGANESH, Block B 106, SIS Safaa, Survey No. 41/2A, GST Road, Opp. Akshaya Apartments, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu 631604, Indi. By creating an account or using Duoraa you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, give accurate details, and keep your password safe. One person per account; you're responsible for what happens under it.

2. What Duoraa does

Duoraa lets exactly two people watch something together from different places, in sync, with a video call, chat and reactions. A room holds two people — the host and one friend — and we enforce that limit.

You can watch: films you upload to Duoraa Cloud; YouTube videos; and, with the Duoraa Companion browser extension, titles on services such as Netflix, Prime Video and Hotstar.

3. Plans and payments

  • Free — join rooms you're invited to, call and chat. Free accounts can't host rooms or upload.
  • Day Pass — a one-time payment to host rooms for 24 hours. It doesn't renew.
  • Duo — a subscription to host rooms and keep films in Duoraa Cloud. It renews automatically every month until you cancel.

Prices are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout, in your currency (INR in India, USD elsewhere), including applicable taxes where required. Payments are processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe; we never see or store your card or UPI details. We may change prices for new purchases; if a change affects your subscription we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel.

Cancelling, refunds and failed payments are explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Your partner never needs to pay to join you.

We may sometimes give a plan for free (for example to testers). A gifted plan can be ended by us at any time and isn't a purchase.

4. What you watch and upload

Only watch and share what you have the right to. Upload a film only if you own it or have permission to view it privately with one other person. Don't upload anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, content that infringes someone's copyright, or malware.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to store, process (for example, convert it into streaming formats) and stream it to you and the partner you invite — nothing more. Uploaded films are encrypted, private to you and your room partner, and never shown to anyone else or used for advertising or training.

Streaming services: for Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar and similar, each person needs their own account with that service, and you must follow that service's terms. Duoraa Companion only keeps play, pause and seek in step; it doesn't copy, record, unlock or re-stream anything. YouTube videos play through YouTube's own player and YouTube's terms apply.

If we receive a valid copyright or legal complaint about content you uploaded, we may remove it and tell you. Write to balaganeshsenthil5@gmail.com to report content or respond to a removal.

5. Using Duoraa fairly

  • Don't harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including in calls and chat.
  • Don't try to get around the two-person limit, plan limits, payments or security; don't scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the service.
  • Don't use Duoraa to share content publicly or with groups — it's a private space for two.
  • Don't impersonate others or use someone else's account.

6. Privacy and security

Chat is end-to-end encrypted, calls are encrypted between you and your partner, and uploaded films are encrypted at rest. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we keep and why. You can download or delete your data from Settings.

7. Suspending or ending accounts

You can delete your account anytime from Settings — this deletes your data and films and ends your subscription's renewal.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or is required by law. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why and let you respond. If we close your account without a good reason under these Terms, we'll refund the unused part of a paid period.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Duoraa running and in sync, but it depends on the internet, your devices and third-party services (YouTube, streaming services, browsers, payment providers). We can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or pause features; if we remove something central to a paid plan, you can cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part.

We may update these Terms. For important changes we'll email you or show a notice at least 14 days before they apply. Continuing to use Duoraa after that means you accept them.

9. Liability

Duoraa is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded, or liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

10. Law, disputes and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to fix things — most issues are solved quickly. Disputes are subject to the courts of Chennai, without affecting your right as a consumer to approach a consumer forum where you live.
